CIVIL LAW

Paralegal

The firm now wishes to expand their general support department and encourages applications from paralegals with the necessary requirements.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ work experience within the legal industry.
  • Preferred but not essential to be in the family law or probate areas.
  • Completed a university Law Degree
  • Completed the LPC/LLM (or alternative)
  • Must be hardworking and sensible.

Responsibilities:

  • The role will be within the general support department. This will ideally be within family and/or probate areas of law due to the high demand.
  • You will be expected to handle your own case load with minimal supervision, so time management is essential.
  • Advocacy skills are vital.
  • Dealing with clients 1:1, this requires the ability to express empathy to some clients.
  • Undertaking legal research.
  • Drafting
  • Interviewing and advising.

CIVIL

Consultant Solicitors

The ideal candidate must be experienced in his/her chosen area of practice and with a client following, as this is a fee share position. Fee Share: – Lucrative percentage fee split depending on experience and billing Firm Location: Hull.

Your role:

  • You will be an experienced in your area of practice
  • You should have a good billing history
  • A dynamic business developer with a good network
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Have a valid practising certificate

CIVIL

Legal Assistant

Research skills, Legal knowledge, Administration skills, Organisation skills, Ability to support client confidentiality, Strong analytical skills, Ability to work as part of a team, Strong attention to detail, ability to detect similarities and trends, both within new information provided and with previously processed details, Experience working in a legal setting strongly preferred, Minimum two-year degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares a variety of legal documents under guidance and firm management
  • Supports court proceedings, assisting in collecting evidence, compiling artefacts, consolidating facts, preparing documents as needed, and tracking cases
  • Develops cases by providing research, maintaining communications with involved parties, and cataloguing information provided
  • Maintains regular communication with clients, helping to keep them informed on case progresses
  • Schedules consultations and other meetings
  • Read case law, make notes, and/or prepare briefs as needed
  • Organise and archives files and supporting documents
  • Verifies information provided as appropriate

Our CILEx training contract provides the means for you to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in specific areas of law with enviable knowledge and skill.To support the CILEx route to qualification we provide a 6 months CILEx Training Contracts where trainees are supervised directly by a CILEx Practitioner. Most of the training is in-house, with some formal external courses. Only candidates who have achieved their CILEx Graduate Fast-track Diploma or are studying/completed their LPC/BPTC course will be eligible for a CILEx Training Contract with this Firm.
